Alexander Vasin: What is the role of a poster in our time? Is it the same as 50 or 100 years ago?
Peter Bankov: Nowadays a poster is the most important element of design, the very “fifth element”. A poster gives meaning to all of the graphic design, does not let it wither on the vine because of “commercial tasks and other crucial importance”.

AV: Are posters in a city and a poster in an exhibition different things?
PB: There is no difference where a poster is: in a city or at an exhibition, it is always online after all.

AV: How to make a cool poster?
PB: A cool poster will be after the 300th made poster.

AV: Do you know what a poster will look like in advance or is it born during the process of work?
PB: I know what the poster will look like, they grow in my head like toadstools.

AV: Is it possible for a poster to change the world?
PB: A poster changes the world, it changes souls and heads, makes us love and cherish what is worth to love.
